
Today, APICA officially participated in the National Cultural Conference held in the capital city, Hargeisa. The event was organized by the Department of Culture under the Ministry of Information, Culture, and National Guidance of the Republic of Somaliland. This was the first conference of its kind since the founding of the Republic of Somaliland and marks a historic occasion that highlights the significance of culture in sustaining national identity and unity.This well-organized ceremony was officially opened by the President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilaahi(Cirro). In his keynote speech, he extensively addressed the role of culture in societal development and the preservation of national values. The event was also attended by members of his Cabinet, high-level officials, traditional leaders, scholars, civil society organizations, and representatives from both local and international institutions.APICA’s participation in this conference demonstrates its firm commitment to preserving, promoting, and enhancing the cultural values of Somaliland society. It provided an opportunity to share perspectives, ideas, and plans on how culture can contribute to peacebuilding, unity, and social development *_leveraging our expertise in community engagement, conflict resolution, and capacity building.
